To start, the user is absolutely helpless against even D ranking clones, unable to tell them apart from the real deal. This is due to the user's ears being unable to track the real person from the clones. While the Seiatsu greatly increases the ability to function against dojutsu, it is incapable of stopping sound based genjutsu and is even more vulnerable to it. As their ears depends on various air currents to carry sound waves, Fuuton techniques will hinder the Seiatsu to a considerable level. being submerged in water or earth will produce similar effects, making Suiton or Doton techniques helpful as well. ❧ S T A G E S: Like other various Kekkai Genkai's, the Seiatsu is a singular stage kekkai genkai which is predominant at birth. As such, all members of the Minamoto clan are said to possess it. ❧ E F F E C T: The clan, like a few other Kekkai Genkai's chooses to achieve something within the body that isn't normally possible. The Seiatsu is what the Minamoto clan calls a kanjutsu, meaning a perception technique. This Seiatsu allows the user to hear incredibly long distances and under certain circumstances, allow the user to 'see' while active via echolocation, although is is within an incredibly short range. Due to the constant use of their kekkai genkai, the user's of the Seiatsu are seemingly unaffected by various loud noises such as thunder, explosive tags or flash grenades. The standard ability for the Seiatsu is hearing surpassing all others, able to hear both the quietest of sounds and for incredibly long distances. The user is capable of hearing for a maximum of 600 meters by focusing their chakra towards their ears. Without doing so, they will normally hear thing within 500 meters or so. This hearing is incredibly refined, able to hear the sounds of someone talking over an even louder sound such as explosives. As the sounds get closer to the center of the Seiatsu user, the sounds will affect the user indifferent ways. Within 100 meters, the user is able to hear simple breathing from both the nostril and the mouth, making the Minamoto clan member fairly effective watchmen or scouts. However, at closer ranges they become incredibly dangerous, as it's fairly difficult to catch a Seiatsu user off guard. Within 10 meters they can hear the heartbeat of a person, making cloaking techniques or traveling underground ineffective. Finally, within 5 feet they can see via echolocation. This is incredibly flawed however, as their vision within 5 feet is mainly used in pulses and lacking in color. As such, it's often seen as a simple rudimentary skill among the clan to see like this. Due to the Seiatsu's powerful ears, members of the clan mostly choose to stick towards long ranged combat, although become choose to become taijutsu specialists due to their ability to hear other's taijutsu manuevers going through the air. |
