Someone who can see chakra can tell when the jutsu is about to be absorbed. Those quick enough or with long range attacks that move fast can hit a Ishitani before they can pull off one of their absorption techniques. As the rank and complication of the techniques go up, the chakra drain on the body gets higher. ❧ S T A G E S: Two, sort of. There are two sides to the Meiton release. One is absorbing chakra and using it as a weapon and the other is the elemental side to it, in which it turns chakra into a dark version of the elemental attack absorbed. The dark elemental versions of the techniques are often used only when the Ishitani member can spare such chakra to do the conversion technique. ❧ E F F E C T: To be simple about it: Meiton allows the Ishitani to absorb chakra, and down the line they can fire attacks right back that they've absorbed. This absorbed chakra also adds to any chakra that the Ishitani have. If they are running low and get off the one technique for absorption, they can return to battle easily. In the later techniques, however, the Meiton grants access to the "Shade" style of techniques, in which some elemental techniques have been darkened and made something else. These techniques are typically A ranked or even S-ranked at some later stages. |
